Kristine Chadwick is the founder of this small, woman-owned evaluation consulting firm, Calypso Strategy and Research. Dr. Chadwick has 30 years of experience in program evaluation in the arenas of education and community-level health and human service initiatives.

She has evaluated various education improvement projects, emphasizing college readiness, access, and success programs; online and traditional professional development programs; and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and research programs. She has worked with nonprofits and community coalitions to develop strategies and key performance indicators and to evaluate their efforts to create safer, healthier communities.

She is an expert in helping constituents articulate program theory, often in the form of logic models, and design data collection and analysis systems to meet information needs. She strongly believes in equitable and inclusive evaluation and research practices that involve those most affected by programs. She is a utilization-focused evaluator, emphasizing the collection of data that will be used for decision-making and the depiction of data in a manner that makes sense to diverse stakeholder groups.

Dr. Chadwick has worked on projects in more than 20 states and with international programs. She earned her doctorate in psychology at the University of Rhode Island, with concentrations in organizational learning and behavior and evaluation research. She holds certificates in the Advanced Study of Evaluation from Claremont Graduate University, and Strategic Management from DePaul University.

OUR PROCESS

Calypso evaluators use a utilization-focused, participatory approach to strategic planning and program evaluation. Programs are most effective when they engage their stakeholders, including those affected by the programs, into the strategic planning and evaluation processes.

In addition, Calypso staff believe that data that directly influence decision making about program improvement and future planning should be prioritized. We can help you set up systems for program monitoring and reporting to funders, while simultaneously ensuring that metrics and data sources will support high-quality decision making about strengths and areas for growth.
